LINCOLN PARK HISTORIC DISTRICT NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION MEETING
JUNE 19, 2008
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by the president, Brenda Dwiggins, who welcomed the attendees and introduced the speaker, John Thompson, a 10-year member of the Danville Police Department, and part of a POP unit of the force. He discussed the organization of the unit and how it functions to deal with street level crime in the community. He stressed the importance of input from the community about suspicious activities in their areas, and some of the precautions homeowners should take to discourage criminal activity in their homes and neighborhoods.
The reading of the April minutes was dispensed with because they had been circulated in the newsletter. (The May meeting was cancelled.)
