LPHDNA MEETING NOTICE

FOR

APRIL 19, 2007

Hello everyone!

Spring is here (says the calendar!) and so is the time to resume our LPHDNA monthly meetings. We have lots to catch up on! Please attend the first meeting of 2007 on Thursday, April 19th, at 7:00 pm, AT FRIENDLY TOWN. (When the weather is warmer, we'll meet at the bandstand as we did last summer.) The Pavilion should be available later this spring/summer.

The featured speaker will be Tracy Stebbins, Neighborhood Services Coordinator. Tracy has held this position since September 2006. He coordinates environmental code related services and serves as the city's liaison to citizens, elected officials, neighborhood associations and business agencies concerning environmental code related matters. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting inspections, managing the rental housing registration system, investigating property maintenance complaints, and supervising and participating in the enforcements of environmental related city codes. If you feel there are any code violations in the Historic District, now is the time to bring them to Tracy's attention.

New officers will be elected in May. Nominations are welcome for ALL positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors. The assistance from Block Captains is vital, and remember, there can be more than one per block. Please consider volunteering your time and talents for the betterment of our community.

Lincoln Park Clean-Up Day is Saturday, April 21st, 9:00 am. We'll meet at the north entrance to the park. It only takes a little time to make a BIG difference! YOUR help is needed and appreciated in keeping our community one that we are proud to call our own. Maintaining Lincoln Park (and our own properties!) reflects positively not only on just our neighborhood but also on the entire city of Danville. By keeping the park clean, we could win the $100 lottery from Keep Vermilion County Beautiful again!

You may recall that we voted last fall to welcome neighbors contiguous to the Historic District to our meetings. If you know of a resident whose home borders our community and would like to participate in our activities, please bring them along!

As always, I hope this finds you and your loved ones doing well. I look forward to seeing all of you at each monthly meeting this season, beginning April 19th. The remaining meeting dates for 2007 are May 17th, June 21st, July 19th, August 16th and September 20th. Please mark your calendars. Let's continue to work TOGETHER in keeping the Lincoln Park Historic District clean, safe and beautiful! Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Brenda Dwiggins President, LPHDNA
